Volume
Filter in the app: Volume
Volume on a market is the amount traded, not the direction of the candles. People search for volume when they want to know which pairs are actually active. In PatternLabs the filter is called Volume. It keeps the 100 pairs with the highest turnover over 24 hours. This page explains that volume filter and how a scan uses it. High volume is not a promise of profit, and it does not mean price will go up. It is not financial advice.
What Volume shows
Turnover over 24 hours is a practical way to separate active markets from quiet ones. A pair can have a dramatic candle on almost no trade. Another pair can move less and still change hands constantly. The Volume filter sorts by that 24-hour turnover and keeps the top 100. It does not color the candle green or red. It does not say the volume is buying or selling, because exchange volume usually does not split the two. The result is a shorter universe of pairs where trades are actually happening.
What Volume does not say
High volume is not quality, and it is not a trend. A pair can lead the 24-hour list because of one news spike and then go quiet. Volume does not confirm a break of structure by itself, and it does not confirm an order block. PatternLabs does not turn a Volume match into an order. The filter only limits which pairs remain. A liquid pair can still be a bad chart for the idea you had in mind.
How to look for Volume in PatternLabs
Open PatternLabs and choose a market. Add Volume to the filter chain when you want the scan to stay with the 100 pairs that have the highest turnover over 24 hours. The rest of the chain can be any filters the app already has, such as BOS, CHoCH, FVG, Order Block, Liquidity grab above highs, Liquidity grab below lows, RSI > 70, RSI < 30, EMA 9/21 ↑, or EMA 50/200 ↑. Volume narrows the universe. The other filters describe the chart. There is no second volume button and no hidden spike setting under another name.
How to read a match
If Volume is the only filter, the list is about activity, not about a pattern. Read the chart of any row before you treat turnover as a reason to trade. If Volume sits in a chain with a structure filter, check that the structure is actually there and that the 24-hour figure is not a one-off print. PatternLabs shows the matches. This explanation of volume does not tell you to chase the busiest pair, and it does not say that high turnover leads to profit.
